  4. Jami says:

    Jane,
Great discussion and education on natural birth control but can you talk about the use of a copper IUD as a non hormonal type of birth control.
    Thanks,
    Jami

  5. LeeAnn says:

Good info! I was on the pill for about a year when I first got married. I had an increase in migraines as a side effect- to the point where I had a migraine for 18 straight days! It was crazy! My hubby supported me getting off the pill and we did natural family planning instead. No more migraines and I felt so much healthier! And it totally works! We decided to try and conceive after two years of successfully living out the natural birth control method and became pregnant soon after. Trust me- the pill is so not worth it. Natural methods are so much better :)

    Thanks for the info. :)

  6. Kristin S says:

This was awesome! I loved that Jane mentioned how much time we spend on other things to stay healthy (exercise, food, etc.), but we want a quick fix for birth control. I’m so glad she made it clear how the FAM is such a healthier option than hormonal contraceptives.

  7. Diann says:

Very interesting! I am officially staying off the pill!!!

  8. Ian Senft says:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! My girlfriend and I have been looking for natural alternatives the the pill!

  9. Diann says:

Great info! I wish I knew this years ago! I’m officially odd the pill!!

  10. Diann says:

Wish I knew this years ago! I’m officially off the pill forever!!! Thanks!!

  11. Jen says:

    Great info! Thank you!

  12. Paula says:

Thank you Jane and Sean for sharing this. So important and empowering! I’d add that one more very serious side effect of hormonal birth control is blood clots. I’d also ask, as we get into perimenopause and menopause, how reliable is the FAM? Thanks again.

  13. Summer says:

Thank you so much for information that is empowering and unfathomably hard to find. I wish I had this information 15 years ago!

  14. Julia says:

    Such great information!
You mentioned briefly about live sperm. Wondering how long sperm can stay alive in the cervix.

    Thanks so much!

  15. Amanda says:

    great Information!!!

  16. Corinne says:

I, too, wish I had heard this years ago. I was on birth control for 2 years before having my children. And now I am coming to realize that it is the culprit to so many of my problems. It completely messed up my hormones and have been having a heck of a time getting back on track. Thank goodness for this summit!! Thank you so much to all the contributors!

  17. Emily says:

Very informative – thanks for the info!

  18. LeeAnn says:

Good info! I had been on the pill for about 1 year when my husband and I got married. My most prominent side effect was migraines- to the point where one month I had a migraine for 18 days straight! It was awful. My hubby supported me getting off the pill to pursue natural fertility management. I felt soooo much better. And it totally works! We used that method for about two years before deciding to try and conceive.

Trust me… It is so worth getting off the pill and using this natural method. :)

  19. AJ says:

Good presentation, but I wish this would have talked about other non-hormonal methods, such as the copper IUD. My husband and I are not ready for kids and I have been on and off birth control for the last 12 years. Finally at 30 years old, I am really looking into how the pill is affecting me and I will be getting a copper IUD in June. Obviously I cannot speak to it’s effectiveness, yet, but I am eager to be hormone free and get back to the way my body is meant to be.

    • Amanda says:

I use both FAM and the copper IUD. Initially I was strictly FAM but I wanted something I bit more reassuring since I’m not in a committed relationship. I still use FAM as it helps me know what’s going on internally and where I am but I definitely don’t regret my decision to get the copper IUD. It is not, however, a pleasant procedure. Its quick, and if done when you are menstruating it will go more easily but for some women (and I’m lucky to be among them) the insertion can cause a vasovegal response. It will also cause some pretty severe cramps for the first few months during your period. So just make sure you have a good heating pad (and if you have a job where you can’t have one in tow then a bunch of those thermo heat patches) and make sure you take the day off on the day of the procedure just in case you are like me and it triggers a response. Also, take pain killers before the procedure – I forgot and that probably exacerbated the issue.

  20. Katie Woodley says:

Really enjoying all the information in the summit! Thank you!

  21. Shaundra Robinson says:

Love that you are sharing such important info on this summit. Every woman can know her body well enough to use this method effectively!

  22. Melissa Burford says:

Always love to know about natural approaches! Thanks so much for this information.

  23. Christian says:

Thanks for the webcast! I’ve been convinced all my adult life that the Pill was bad (not to say evil…), it’s great to see a confirmation of this!

  24. Tansy Rodgers says:

Finally, someone who challenges and explores the scary world of the pill.. Thank you!!

  25. Autumn says:

Very timely. I’m breastfeeding and getting outside the window of no fertility and my husband and I have been discussing what to do-the pill has never been kind to me and I didn’t want to do the shot. This is great, great information, and vital for women to hear!

    • Mary Ann says:

This is all GREAT information. By far a very interesting, thought provoking and “do-now” type of summit that I have been wanting to attend. I am a fitness nurse and everything shared here are topics of conversation that happens “inside the office”. Glad to see these are available for all to watch on their own time and all of the presentations are very practical, friends and useful. Thanks Sean. Well done. Should I win copies of the presenters books, I would be that much more happy :) Looking forward to Day 3.

  26. Christina says:

    Thanks for the useful information!

  27. Shauna says:

This is such great information. Thank you for sharing it with us. I wish I had this kind of information available to me when I was younger. I will be passing it on to others. Thanks for a great summit.

  28. nicole b. says:

Great information! I’ve been practicing FAM for about 6 months now and love it. Its very interesting what you find out about your body!

  29. Michelle says:

Wow! Thank you so much. Really good information that I would want to pass on to the teenage girls in our youth club. Thanks!

  30. nicole b. says:

Great info! Been practicing FAM about 6 months and love it! Much better than the pill and very easy!

  31. nicole b. says:

    Thanks for the great info!

  32. Kristin S says:

This was awesome! I loved that Jane mentioned how much time we spend trying to be healthy in other areas (food, exercise, etc.) but that we are looking for a quick fix when it comes to birth control. Also, I’m glad she mentioned how much healthier it is to do FAM than taking hormonal contraceptives.

  33. Holistic NJ Mom says:

This comes at the perfect time. My husband & I don’t want anymore kids right now but won’t use pills & I don’t like the idea of a married couple having to use other forms. Your presentation was spot on! I can’t wait to call in during your Q&A session tomorrow night. Thank you!

  34. Holistic NJ Mom says:

This comes at the perfect time! My husband & I don’t want anymore kids right now. We’ve been blessed w/ 3 girls. I won’t use the pill or shot & I’m not crazy about married couples having to resort to other forms. I can’t wait to ask a question during your Q&A session tomorrow night. Thx!

  35. Kat says:

My husband has had a vasectomy so this is no longer highly relevant to me, but I have been wondering how to merge my feminist and natural health tendencies when my daughters become teenagers. It is empowering to be in control of your fertility, but how effective is a method like this when the body hasn’t established a regular cycle? As a teen, my cycle was very long and varied greatly. Plus, how likely is a teen to commit to this even if it works? I don’t like to think about my girls having sex, but I’d like to prepare them well when the time comes. I would love to hear more about options for teens/twenty-somethings who don’t subscribe to everything their mom and dad do.

  36. Kat says:

Oh dear! I typed out a comment but it doesn’t seem to have posted from my iPad. This information is great, but I am also wondering about other options to introduce to teenage girls. I am not looking forward to the days when my daughters become sexually active, but I want to know about options for growing bodies that haven’t yet established regular cycles — my own cycles were vastly irregular until I started on the pill in my late teens. What are some options that are safer for their bodies than the pill, but still empowering them to take control of their own fertility in this male-dominated society?

  37. Jocie says:

Very eye-opening and empowering. It is clear you really care about women and their health! Thank you!!

  38. Liz D says:

I am loving Ms. Bennett’s insight regarding the need for redefining convenience. What truly is convenient IN THE LONG RUN? We are so interested in instant gratification, immediate solution, that we don’t pay attention to long term benefits of alternative solutions that involve more education and awareness. What, really, is more convenient? Information and education (read: POWER), or instant gratification with negative side effects?

  39. Shannon says:

The pill is awful. I took it for many years thinking it was the only way. It ruined me in many ways. Thanks for this lecture. It was very enlightening.

  40. Danielle says:

I was put on birth control when I was diagnosed with endometriosis earlier this year, but I was never satisfied with the answer that this is how it has to be forever. I’ve been doing a lot of research into alternative methods and balancing hormones and eating clean food since then, and the more I learn, the more I realize that birth control ISN’T the only answer for me! I hate how it changes my mood, my energy, my entire well-being, and your session is just one more step in the right direction of learning what my body is capable of doing and knowing that I can understand it. Thank you so much!

  41. Liz D says:

I love how Ms. Bennett emphasizes the need to redefine convenience with regard to hormonal birth control. I personally believe that education and awareness is empowering in any field. Truly empowering a woman to make a choice about whether the short-term convenience of the pill is for her or whether she prefers long-term convenience of overall health and wellness in addition to the self-awareness and lack of side effects from more natural methods should be the goal, not harboring or discrediting information from one side of the argument or the other.

  42. Jaime says:

This was great information. I’ve realized recently that my bc method (the ring) has completely robbed me of my libido and energy. I’m still afraid of my periods starting again (because they’re intensely painful) but it’s good to have this information handy for when I talk to my doctor. Thanks!

  43. MamaCassi says:

great presentation! i knew about TCOYF, and Creighton Model, but this was a great new resource w/ more information that I look forward to learning more and sharing w/ younger women. i feel like the more we know about our bodies, cycles, natural things that affect our cycles, and how to best address our own fertility, the better our satisfaction and quality of life!

  44. Beth says:

This is such great information. After years on the pill and having horrible emotional side effects, I finally convinced my husband to let me stop taking it. Now I am having trouble getting pregnant, but it is so helpful to know what is going on with my body and be able to chart it. I only wish more women had access to this information and that I had known it earlier.

  45. Anna G. says:

Great information. Funny how this was used in regards to preventing pregnancy. I learned these methods when facing infertility and trying to get pregnant. We go through teens and early twenties trying not to get pregnant and many then face difficulty when we start trying. I too was on the pill for MANY years and I know think it wreaked havoc on my hormones.

  46. Ashley says:

Thank you so much for doing this! This has reconfirmed my things in my mind and has lead me to want to learn more about the FAM!

  47. Sally says:

Completely agree.. Didn’t realize how the pill affected me until I got off it to get pregnant.

  48. Yazmine says:

I needed this information! Every woman should learn about this.
    Thank you!!

  49. Ashley says:

This just reconfirmed my beliefs and inspired me to learn more about FAM! Thanks to both of you for doing this!

  50. Mel says:

Thanks for a great presentation. It’s a bit embarrassing that I have three degrees, but have never learned to chart my cycle!

  51. Samantha Williams says:

Thank you, Sean, for producing this terrific summit. The hormone science, psychological insights, and practical action steps are particularly helpful. After listening to the interviews, especially Jane Bennett’s discussion of female cycles, I have a much clearer understanding of how my body works and what I can do to improve its performance. Bravo!

  52. Jane Brummett says:

We are six months post-partem from our second child who is breastfed. My cycles have started again but quite randomly. We are using a barrier method, but could this be effective before I’m done breast feeding?

  53. Tanith says:

I have been given the pill as a form of hrt as i had an early menopause at 38. It worked for a while but now i’m suffering terrible mood swings so have stopped. Its hard to know what to do for the best :/

  54. Kara says:

“We come to know ourselves as adults while being influenced by this drug that we take every day.” -So true!!!! I literally just decided to go off the pill 2 weeks ago, this information comes at the perfect time! I can’t wait to see how many symtoms, that I have been struggling with for years, will hopefully go away!

  55. Lindsey says:

Great information, thanks for sharing. It’s nice to hear about natural options that aren’t riddled with side effects.

  56. Rochelle says:

I like how they talked about treating the side effects of the pill, and how people don’t realize how it affects them.

  57. Hayley says:

Very eye opening, thanks for confirming what I was already feeling about the pill!

  58. Joanne says:

Fantastic presentation! We discovered Natural Family Planning over 25 years ago and successfully used this method as our primary birth control method to plan our family. Now that menopause is almost here, charting again has been very helpful to make sense of the hormonal changes this season of life brings. Great summit so far, thanks Sean and team.

  59. Cheryl says:

Great information. Hope I can get my daughter to read your book.

  60. Angie says:

Wow! Such great information that I definitely needed to hear. Much of what was talked about I am battling and didn’t know what to do about it…now I do! Thanks again!

  61. Michelle says:

These presentations have been great so far! They all have me rethinking various aspects of my day-to-day. Thank you so much for organizing this!

  62. Heather says:

All I can say is WOW! This will be the perfect way for us to stay natural and away from hormones as we approach the next phase of our lives. Such a wealth of information…once again-thank you!

  63. Agne says:

Great presentation, I only wonder why no one talks a bout copper spirals? I’d like to get more information on that method, isn’t it a barrier method too?

  64. Brandy says:

Great information, I personally use fertility awareness method with success! Thanks Sean!

  65. Allison says:

Such useful information! I, too, was mad when I learned that natural birth control methods seemed to be almost hidden from me by my doctors. As a woman who experiences horrific side effects from “the pill,” I’m pleased to use everything you discussed. Thank you!

  66. Allison says:

Such useful information! I, too, was mad when I learned that my doctor seemed to be almost hiding this information from me. As a woman who experiences horrific side effects from “the pill,” I struggled to find something more natural. I’m grateful for this information.

  67. jenny says:

    Hi,
How do men get involved and responsible for applying this method? Otherwise, the woman has to tell the man ” No sex” on certain days; getting rejected, men become really angry. So, how do men take responsibility here, instead of being rejected by the woman ?

    • Luiza says:

I have been doing this method for about two years. And I love it. I have been dating my boyfriend for almost an year and he has been very supportive of it, although he wasn’t so secure and couldn’t understand why I was doing in the beginning of our relationship. Today, he is as aware of my cycle as I am. He will even help me to wright down the information on my chart. He knows when I am in my fertile window or he is very good at asking if it is a day to wear the condom. He is very active about it, but I also make sure I share a lot with him. I tell him about all of my changes, and we always celebrate when I get my period. It becomes a fun moment for the couple as well of an opportunity to really know each other.

  68. Erica says:

Great topic. I can’t wait to try it out!

  69. Philippa says:

Thank you for such an informative talk. I am so happy to finally be off the pill! Although the combination of soy products and the pill has wrecked havoc with my body. It has been 2 years since i went off the pill, and stopped drinking soy milk ,and my body is still recovering! Day by day i feel like i am getting to know my own body again and finding balance. Would be great to know Jane Bennet’s thought on IUD devices and in particular the Mirena? My doctor has recommended it, but feel that there is so much information out there – don’t know what to think anymore! Any thoughts would be great… Many thanks!

  70. carrie says:

    Thanks so much! Great information!!

  71. Kara B says:

Great presentation. I found the whole discussion really interesting, especially the mechanisms behind how the pill can affect libido. The charting info was really interesting too. Thanks for the info!

  72. Hope says:

thankyou for the intriguing information, I did not know that the pill is bad for you. the doctors do say otherwise! I Also find Liz Ds comment to be exactly how I feel! I am pleased how such a wonderful woman, Mrs Bennett, can give such a distinguished approach to the fertility – be happy without pill and use natural ways or suffer with synthetic approaches that doesn’t have a 99% success rate. thanks again so much for this summit! truly changed my thought pattern.

  73. Nicole says:

I was on the pill for 7 years in my teens to early 20’s and it definitely messed up my body. My libido was pretty non existent and I also had trouble conceiving for a few years after I discontinued the pill. I used the temperature and charting method to eventually conceive. It works!

  74. Savanna says:

Great information! I’ve never used the pill and I certainly don’t plan to start now.

  75. Jennifer says:

Excellent!!!! Loved listening to your accent too. :)

  76. Jennifer says:

Excellent!!! Loved listening to your accent as well!! :)

  77. Jennifer says:

    Excellent!!

  78. Candamourty says:

Easy understanding! Clear points! Can be very helpful for the young!

  79. Gray says:

Thanks Sean and Jane! This is such important information for women.

  80. Peace says:

The nasty effects of the BC pill were a hormonal disaster, gave me intense migrane headaches, depleted my vitamins and zest for life AND successfully killed my super strong sex drive.
    Hindsight is 20/20 ~
The side effects are drastically more inconvenient and unhealthy than the so called “convenience” of taking a pill a day to keep babies at bay. Doctors never educated me on the havoc on my body and mind, Thank you for educating and sharing this invaluable and much needed knowledge. I like the awareness that we all need to be accountable for our bodies and well-being and avoid popping synthetic pills as a fix all.

  81. Laina says:

I have never been on the pill- and most women around me think I’m totally crazy. But I did my own research before I got married and came to believe it was not for me! SO thankful I chose this rout! Benefited me SO much. (and no- I don’t have a million kids)…. 😉

  82. Maggie says:

Thank you for this information. I am going to start charing very soon. I have an app that tracks my period and it will track temp and mucus. I didn’t know it could do that until now.

  83. Jen says:

I hated being on the pill. I felt so much better once I got off. I wish fertility awareness was more known and acceptable today. Thank you for the information!

  84. Elissa says:

Great presentation. I was on the Pill for 10 years!! I came off it last year and it took just over 6 months for my cycles to get regular and I also found out that I had PCOS which the Pill had been hiding. So many women are told to take the Pill for PCOS but it doesn’t fix the problem, only hides it.

  85. Robyn says:

We tried fertility awareness and loved it … Until I was nursing one baby and my cycles were completely out of whack, but I was fertile! I now use fertility awareness PLUS a diaphragm with a natural sperm blocker (honey, aloe+lemon juice, etc … lots of options here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DiaphragmsAndCaps/files/Natural_Spermicides/). The diaphragm has also been great as I enter peri-menopause and my cycles are again slightly out of sync.

  86. Lori says:

While in my early 20s, a friend of mine had a stroke that was directly related to her taking the pill. That scared me enough to look for an alternative, safe method of contraception. I was introduced to this natural family planning method and never looked back. I learned so much about my cycle, my moods, my sexuality, and it put me in control. I’m so glad to see this get the recognition and support it deserves.

  87. Colleen says:

Great topic. This is information is something every woman should know, and that after 14 years on the pill I am just discovering for myself. Good to hear discussion of this topic.

  88. Tara Hovis says:

I went off the pill in January because I was convinced it was behind my crazy mood swings. 5 months later and my libido is back (which my husband is very grateful for!) and I feel so much better. I am glad to have this information because I am looking for a natural way to avoid pregnancy. Thank you!

  89. Anna says:

Love that Jane is spreading the word about FAZm! I have been charting for over 10 years and am so grateful that I learned this method. But I don’t get how you can successfully use the method without charting as Jane mentions.

  90. leah says:

Great, important information! As a user of FAM I can testify to how empowering it can be to know this information. I wish more women were aware of it.

  91. Christine says:

Great summit! Thanks for all your hard work Sean.

  92. Allison B says:

Wonderful presentation. We used fertility awareness methods a few years ago to help conceive our child, and I am so happy to see this technique explained so others can benefit.

  93. Sara Isnardi says:

I found this very interesting. I was put on birth control at a young age for menstrual issues and a lot of this was very interesting especially about the terrible side effects.

  94. Christine says:

Thank you for sharing this with the world Sean.

  95. Rachel says:

Thanks for the thorough and very informative presentation!

  96. Kenzie Hill says:

I have been wondering about this for a long time since I knew being on the pill was not a good option. Thank you for all this great information! I have loved every session of the summit so far :)

  97. Heather A says:

Thanks so much for helping make women aware of how chemical, especially hormone mimics or synthetics can affect our body. Im a PhD graduate who did research on the effects of endocrine disrupting compounds on the reproductive system and am always interested in hearing about others opinions of synthetic hormones and how they can affect our body. Most women dont even know how birth control works, or that their system essentially has been on pause and needs a reboot afterwards. Similarly, i studied soy phytoestrogens and found that most women felt that these were good and healthy for them but didn’t realize that they basically mimic estrogen and can interfere with reproduction. Thankfully this research has recently made it to mainstream media and women are becoming more aware that even “natural” good for you substances can be just as harmful in excess as chemical synthetics.

  98. Karen McAdams says:

FAM works! We used it for three years before deciding to conceive our first child. The Pill, on the other hand, gave me horrible migraines. Great info – keep spreading the word! (Would love that prize package too!)

  99. Rebecca G. says:

This was a fabulous presentation. Thank you for sharing and providing the information to empower women in their bodies and health!

  100. Amanda M says:

So glsd this truth is coming out!

  101. marjorie says:

This is such great information to get out there so that we can make an actual choice as opposed to BCP or not!

  102. marjorie says:

This is great information. Thank you for taking the time to get it out there so women can make the choices that best suits them without thinking there is either no sex or no choice but BCP!

  103. Elise says:

What an amazing presentation!!! I was floored to learn how easy it is to naturally figure out my fertile cycles. I’m currently pregnant so I’ll have to wait a bit to put this into practice but I loved all the useful information!!

  104. Laura Marks says:

Wow, this summit has been amazing! I have been working on my hormones for the last year and a half using nutrition. I have definitely progressed but have a ways to go and have learned so much through these webinars. Thank you to all who have put their time into this summit!

  105. Laura says:

Ms. Bennett, thank you for sharing! i have a question I would love to see addressed in your q&a. What are some indications that a woman’s cycle is resuming after the birth of a child or what do you recommend in this case? My third baby was conceived before I ever had my period after my second was born, and I’d prefer to plan ahead to have any more children! I am learning about FAM but have not yet seen that addressed in my research. My husband would prefer the “guarantee” of the pill, while I would like to do this naturally because of previous side effects, but not with fear of intimacy for the next 8 months!

  106. Sharmista says:

Loved this one! This is such important information for women. Thanks for getting it out there!

  107. Dawn Rosenbarker says:

Great info. I think every girl should be taught this info.

  108. Erin says:

I took myself off the pill last month for a lot of the reasons stated, it was no good to hear that my reasons were valid and widespread!

  109. Lisa Adele says:

I’ve been checking my body temperature in the mornings for a while but didn’t ever get it the hang of the cervical fluid checks- I think this makes it more clear and will help us being even more aware of fertile days. Thanks.

  110. Reba says:

I REALLY loved this one! I’ve been on the pill for 17 years and I think this was exactly what I needed to hear in order to get off the pill and see what my world will be like without it!!! Thank you!!!

  111. Reba says:

    Add a comment…

  112. Kimberly Wood says:

Great presentation! I’ve been searching for a natural form of contraception.

  113. Kate {Eat, Recycle, Repeat} says:

So incredibly grateful that my parents stayed strong and didn’t let me go on the pill as a teen. I’d be even worse off in my PCOS symptoms than I am now. Also really grateful to people like Jane & Toni Weschler for empowering me to learn about how my body works. All girls should have access to their kind of information, rather than the sad excuse for the classes we get in 5th grade now, if at all!

  114. Kimberly Wood says:

    great topic

  115. Stephanie says:

Thank you for this. It is wonderful how the information on hormones is being dispersed. All because of people like you taking the time to educate others, you are truly a blessing. Being on birth control for ten years really messed me up. I lost my energy, my nutrients, and had many intestinal problems as a result. I became iron deficient, B12, and folic acid deficient. I knew in order to get pregnant I needed to get these chemicals out of my body for a couple of years! Although I still need some hormone balancing, I was happy to know the nutrients I needed to supplement to have a healthy pregnancy. I would love to learn more about natural contraception after we have a baby!!

  116. Angela says:

Wish I knew this long ago.

  117. Marissa W says:

Thank you so much for all of this wonderful information and for extending Day One :) I have some catching up to do. YAY!
THis is perfect timing in so many ways!

  118. Marissa W says:

Thank you for all of this wonderful information! This is such great timing. I am really doing a lot of healing and bringing awareness to my reproductive health and wellbeing.

  119. T says:

Very eye opening, thanks! I have been interested in natural methods but had yet to really explore the idea because I was sure the effectiveness would be so low. This is something I am definitely going to work towards.

  120. Anna Aspnes says:

So much great information that I can pass to my pre-teen daughter in the upcoming years. Thanks for sharing!

  121. Jennifer Mathewson says:

I am so thankful for these presentations. So much relevant information in one place. Thank you!
    -Jennifer

  122. Nicole says:

Wow, this is truly amazing information to hear. I know some about hormones and human physiology, but it is crazy how brainwashed we are to think the pill or hormone based birth control are the only options. Thank you!

  123. Jen says:

Thanks so much for this. My Dr was not understanding of my concerns about the pill at all. This info was very useful to me!

  124. Kelsey says:

I’m so glad there is someone out there questioning the use of the Pill! I wish it was not given to teenagers as often as it is, when so many of the reasons can be solved with nutrition, etc. I’m also fully supportive of natural birth control and teaching women these methods. Thanks!

  125. Liz S says:

Very interesting information! Not sure I’m on the bandwagon for FAM with where I am in life (though I don’t like BCP and currently use a barrier method). I’m tempted to do the measurements anyway just to know more about my body! I also wonder what Jane has to say about IUDs.

  126. jessica says:

awesome! thank you jane for your clarity and resourcefulness. i’m so glad to see more information about FAM. it has truly changed my relationship with my own body and fertility in a wonderful way.

  127. jessica says:

thank you so much! i so appreciate jane’s clarity and resourcefulness. FAM has changed my relationship with my body and my fertility in such a potent way – i’m so glad to see more information available about it!

  128. Sarah says:

Great information… especially timely with a teenage daughter. I hope she never uses the pill. She listened to part of this presentation with me… a very good sign!
Great summit, Sean! Thanks for putting it together. You were inspired!

  129. Marylou says:

Thank you for the information. Lets hope one day this information will be part of patient information.

  130. Kerry says:

Awesome information thank you! Just the info I was looking for x

  131. Martina says:

I found this informations very useful and I have to say that I am not sure does this work for women with irregular cycles, like me…I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16 and my doctor put me on a pill. It was before I could even see or know the dangers hidden behind using the pill…at that time I just wanted to be ”normal”. I used the pill for 8 years with 3 pauses of 1 year. Now, I am searching for natural methods, because the pill did not solve the problem! So, I found this to be very useful, thank you dr.Bennett!

  132. wendie says:

Thank you for your excellent, informative presentation, Jane! You were clear and concise and it was remarkable how much valuable information you were able to share with us, and in less than 40 minutes! :) Thank you for encouraging women to get back in touch with their own bodies. There are far too many women walking the earth who do not know themselves and do not trust themselves. We need to regain that knowledge and trust, and then teach our girls to do the same so that they may avoid some of the devastation and pitfalls that some of us have had to endure at the hand of synthetic hormones.

Thank you, Sean, for keeping it real and frank and for asking the tough questions. :)

  133. Alma says:

I am so grateful for this information. As I am in the last trimester of my third pregnancy, I have been very clear that I do not want to go back to hormonal contraception, but was just beginning to explore more natural options. I can’t wait o get more in depth into this learning: it will not only improve my health but that of my two girls for I’m sure to pass on the knowledge when the time is right! Thank you both!!
    Alma

  134. Jane says:

Well, I am a bit past the age to have a personal need for this information, but I am glad it is available for those who are in their childbearing years. This is an excellent presentation, and I wish it were more widely available.

  135. Val says:

SO excited about this information!! Thanks so much!!

  136. Chelsie says:

This was the day and presentation I was most looking forward to, and I was not at all disappointed. What more can I say other than THANK YOU!!

  137. Boiling says:

This interview appealed to me the most

    Very,very informative.

  139. Madelief says:

So good to be in a draw for some prices, it is just not possible t owatch all videos in the 24h they are available, with work and all!

    Madelief

  140. Elle says:

Still amenorrheic after anorexia and these alternative approaches give me a bit of hope. Thanks!

  141. Katalin says:

    Very informative presentation. Thank you!

  142. Heather says:

Can’t wait to read the book!!

  143. Emelie says:

This is great! I stopped taking the pill six months ago and I’m even happier about that after watching this! Thank you for spreading this information!!

  144. Veronique says:

This is great information, thank you! I am excited to figure this out.

  145. Jennifer says:

Thank you so much for this information! I experienced several of the most common side effects while on the pill and am even happier I made that decision years ago to stop taking it. Thank you!

  146. Anna G says:

Thank you so much Sean for this wonderful summit! Loving the presentations, will definitely be checking out Jane’s website for more info.

  147. Tracy says:

Great info here. I’ve been keeping track of my charting and cycles with an app called Period Tracker. I’m now so much more aware of my own body and fertility to know when my husband has the free light to not use a condom. :)
I was on the pill from age 16-25 and I really didn’t know much about it other than to take it daily preferably at the same time of day. Wish I’d have learned about the dangers and side-effects of the pill prior to taking it. Every time I go for a PAP my practitioner always spouts off my “options” of pills, shots, hormonal IUDs, etc. I’ll pass thanks.

  148. Abbie says:

I loved the presentation. I was wondering if I can track my temp and vaginal secretions while I have an IUD and still track ovulation?

  149. Joni says:

I was so excited for this presentation! I already refuse to use hormonal birth control, so we use condoms, but I wanted to try something like this and only have to use condoms when necessary and save money and hassle. My husband had heard the failure rate of the rhythm method, I think, and wasn’t really comfortable with trying. Now I have the information I need to set both our minds at ease and give the FAM a try!

  150. Pattie says:

Excellent Information. Especially learning that the pill has such adverse effects on young women, those who begin before their twenties. I will be teaching this to my three daughters. Thank you for making this information available to us.

  151. Lindsay says:

I’m really enjoying these presentations; thank you for offering this summit!

  152. Abbie says:

I loved your presentation. Would an IUD affect tracking ovulation?

  153. Courtney Stokes says:

Such great information! Thank you so much :)

  154. Tracy says:

great information. I did chart years ago after losing 2 pregnancies. Through charting, I was able to discover I had low progesterone and I was able to have 2 children. I think I will need to start again to refresh myself on the method.
I did start on the pill in my teens and ended up with severe depression, mood swings and anxiety. I have never really recovered from these problems and will be sure to share my experiences with my daughter so she will always use the natural methods. Thanks for the talk.

  155. Annie Hulse says:

I loved this presentation. It was very informative :)

  156. Ashley says:

Wonderful information. Helped clarify my husband on why I’m tired of trying to make birth control work and cope with all these horrible side affects!

  157. Jessica says:

Thank you so much for providing this information! I’m going to purchase Jane’s book to lend to friends and family. So many couples I know have fertility problems after using birth control, yet the medical establishment continues to claim the risk g infertility rates in our country are unrelated to the widespread use of hormonal birth control methods. I would love to learn more about how birth control affects fertility. Thank you!

  158. Michelle Stewart says:

I just went off the pill a few months ago and will never use them again! I wish I would have had all this info about 12 years ago, but glad to have it now!

  159. Rachel says:

Getting off the pill and starting FAM was one of the best things I’ve ever done. It’s awesome to feel so in tune with my body. I wish I had known the things I know now when I first got on the pill at 16, I would have made a more informed choice. I really think it contributed a lot to the currently poor health I’m trying to combat now.

    What a great video!

  160. Hayley says:

This was very informative. I will definitely be sharing this info with family and friends. Thank you!

  161. Bec says:

After going off the Pill in late 2012, I have been struggling to find any useful information in relation to natural contraceptive planning. Sean, your Sexyback Summit is the most amazing thing that has ever happened online. I can’t thank you enough for putting this summit together. Dr Sara Gottfried was amazing yesterday and Dr Jane Bennett has restored my faith in the idea that it is possible to use a natural method of contraception that has a high effectiveness rate. If I could give the three of you a huge hug, I would. Actually for Dr Sara Gottfried it would be 8 hugs :o)

  162. angie h says:

I was on the pill for 10 years and even after quitting about 3 years ago (when I was 30). I still feel like I need to heal from the effects. Is there a way to help heal and repair your body after long (or short) stints on the pill?

  163. Glo says:

This information is vitally necessary for ALL woman, especially woman who are considering the ‘pill’ as a form of contraception. Every ‘mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, caregiver’ should be informed enough to support another woman’s decision about birth control. This summit is FANTASTIC – many Thank you’s go to ALL the speakers!!

  164. Sarah says:

I would love to know what you think about the women who have had benefit from the pill. After having several close family members become extremely depressed after starting on the pill (one even being unable to leave her bed because the depression was so bad), I was under close watch when I started on the pill myself. I went from depressed with wild mood swings before the pill to happy and under control on the pill. Now, 9 years later, I am nervous as to my emotions and behaviors if I were to discontinue the pill. Any recommendations for if I decided I wanted to switch to a less invasive approach?

  165. Elizabeth Butala says:

I wish this information was more readily available! I’m going to pass this on to as many of my friends as possible!

  166. Loretta Farmer-Brown says:

Great information and thank you! I wish I had this when I was younger but will introduce you to my daughter. I have long thought that the pill was extremely unhealthy for women. So glad you are getting the word out!

  167. Rachel says:

I enjoyed the talk but wondered why she didn’t mention fertility monitors e.g. Lady-Comp. They are expensive but they are so convenient and take away the stress of knowing you need to calculate it right! You just have to take your morning temperature and the monitor’s computer works out your cycle for you. Also they are supposedly good for those with an irregular cycles or those nearing their menopause.
